Walking and Talking.

Sometimes we need physical space to find mental space.

I offer the opportunity to take counselling out of the confines of our homes or office space. I find walking is a great release and hope that offering this to my clients will give them the same sense of grounding and freedom.

I walk in the fields and hills surrounding Hitchin, we can take the same route each time or we can alter the route, perhaps a new setting will help you look at things in a new light.

Mental health charity Mind carried out extensive research, which showed that walking in the countryside could help reduce depression and anxiety. In their survey, they reported that 71% of respondents felt decreased depression and less tense after a “green” walk, while 90% felt their self-esteem increase after a country walk.
