Sometimes we need physical space to find mental space.
Counselling doesn’t always have to take place sitting in a therapy room.
I offer Walk and Talk Counselling in Bubwith, East Yorkshire, giving you the opportunity to take your counselling outdoors and enjoy the benefits of being in a natural environment.
Walking can provide a sense of movement, space and freedom. For some people, talking while walking can feel more natural and less formal than sitting face-to-face in a traditional counselling room.
We can follow the same route each time, or choose a different route depending on what feels right for you. Sometimes a change of scenery can help us see things from a different perspective.
Our walks begin from my counselling office in Bubwith, East Riding of Yorkshire, and we can take time to explore whatever you feel you need to talk about.
Walk and Talk Counselling may be particularly helpful if you find sitting indoors difficult, enjoy being outdoors, or feel that being in nature helps you to feel more grounded and connected.
A different way to experience counselling
There is no pressure to walk quickly or maintain a particular pace. The focus remains on you, your wellbeing and the therapeutic work we are doing together.
Sometimes a change of scenery can help us find a new perspective.
