Your safety and wellbeing are at the heart of my counselling practice.
As I work with children, young people and adults, safeguarding is an important part of providing safe, professional and ethical counselling.
I hold an appropriate DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and follow relevant safeguarding procedures to help protect the wellbeing of the people I work with.
All counselling is provided within professional and ethical guidelines, with confidentiality maintained wherever possible. However, there are some circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken, particularly where there is a serious concern about someone’s safety or the safety of another person.
When working with children and young people, I take particular care to create an environment where they feel safe, listened to and respected. Any safeguarding concerns are managed appropriately and in line with professional requirements.
If you have any questions about DBS checks, safeguarding or confidentiality, please feel free to contact me before beginning counselling.
